Mercedes and BMW are two ever competing German car companies. Not so long ago we noticed that our site has a huge number of tutorials about different Mercedes models, but for some reason we don't have that many BMW models. Today we decided to remedy this situation and created a lesson on how to draw a BMW M5 car clipart.
Step 1.
Take a pencil in your hand and with light movements of your hand draw the outline of the BMW M5 body as shown in our example. Note that in the future we will need to erase the lines drawn in this and subsequent steps.
Step 2
Here we continue to use extremely light lines. We use them to sketch the outline of the headlights, grille and bumper on the front of our BMW. On the side, we need to sketch the rear view mirrors and the rounded wheels.
Step 3.
This is where we need to start using darker lines, like we did on CHRYSLER 300C design. Carefully draw the outline of our BMW's headlights (try to replicate their shape from our example) and the distinctive double grille. Draw a round logo on the "nose" and move on to step number four.

Step 4
In this step of the lesson on how to draw a BMW M5, we continue working on the front of the car. Underneath the headlights and grille, draw the outline of the bumper and rectangular license plate.
Step 5
Now it's time to work on the top of the car, which is the roof of our BMW. Continuing with the smooth lines of the hood (or hood if you live in Britain), draw the outline of the roof, then draw the windows and rearview mirrors.
Step 6.
This is the step where we finish drawing the body of our BMW M5. Continuing the roof line, draw the back of the car. Next, continuing the window lines, draw the doors, then draw the handles on the doors. Next, draw the design of the bottom edge of the body and a long line on the side of the car.
Step 7.
Since the body of our BMW is finished, we need to start working on the wheels. Using dark and flowing lines, we draw the wheels of our car. By the way, we think that the step where we draw the wheels is the most difficult because the lines of the wheel should be as smooth and round as possible. So this is where we need to work really well.
Step 8.
Another difficult and painstaking step of the lesson on how to draw a BMW M5. Here we need to draw the rims of our car. We drew the standard rims that you can see on most BMW models, but you can of course draw any other rims. We've created a cipart, that looks better, than real photos of this car.
Step 9
We finally got to the last step. Look at your drawing, if it looks like ours, then start working with the shadows. Use a dense hatch to draw the shadows, as shown in the example below this text. Also add highlights to the surface of the body and windows.
